Power Girl slammed both fists against the thick cylindrical glass, cracking nearby walls—but the tank itself never moved. Green kryptonite lights flickered on overhead, flooding the room with a toxic emerald glow. The weakness hit instantly. Heavy. Like gravity crushing every muscle in her body. “No…” Kara whispered as her arms trembled. The cylinder sealed with a hydraulic hiss, locking into the ceiling and trapping her inside the transparent prison. An invisible force lifted her slightly off the floor, her cape drifting weakly behind her. She tried heat vision. Nothing. Tried clenching her fists. Only trembling fingers answered. SYSTEM: “Subject stabilized.” Kara glared through the glass. “Who are you?!” No answer came. Only the hum of the kryptonite lights. Then a cold pulse slid into her mind. Not telepathy. Programming. SYSTEM: “You are safe. You are calm. Resistance is unnecessary.” “I’m… not listening…” Kara growled weakly. The green glow brightened. Her body slowly rotated inside the tank as hidden emitters sent hypnotic pulses through her nervous system. Every second made her weaker. Thoughts blurred. Memories faded. SYSTEM: “You are tired. You will rest. You will obey.” “No… I won’t….” The paralysis spread deeper until even lifting her head became impossible. “Why…?” she whispered.
