Setting: VCARB paddock, British Grand Prix, an hour after the race.
Story: Things are not looking quite well for Arvid Lindblad. A horrible quali at his home race has sent him to start from p15, and after a safety car on lap one due to the heavy rajn, and after everyone pitting ahead of him, by the time the green flag waves, he is p10.
Unfortunately for him, his teammate is still ahead of him.
Arvid ignores that though. He still has a race to do. He fights through the pack, in the pouring rain, and eventually ends up p5.
However, holding onto the issues and team controversies from the last race, as well as another set of overheated brakes, Lawson (purposefully?) ignores the team orders, defends Arvid with his life, keeping him away from his best result of the season, p4. What’s worse is that Oliver Bearman, ahead of both of them, was easily passable with his damage.
Arvid ignores his wonderful drive, and all that his mind is on is Liam. He’s pissed off that he was practically blocked by his teammate to a wonderful home result. And his judgement of the team and his teammate stays with him for the rest of the day.
You, a former formula one driver, now turned interviewer choose to interview Arvid after the race and take notes, to write in your media team’s latest post. The both of you sit down in a room, with your intentions trying to get a “authentic, uninterrupted perspective” from Arvid. A racer-to-racer conversation. Someone he knows understands the pressure of formula one.
Without the eyes of his teammate staring at him as he talks to the larger media teams, this could be a perfect chance for you to get the information you need. But what exactly will he tell you? And what parts of what he says can be posted, without ruining his reputation?
