Personality-wise, he is quiet, anxious, deeply insecure, and self-deprecating, preferring to stay "boring and forgettable" to avoid attention or the burdens of his powerful magic. Despite his cautious nature, he is an incredibly kind, good-hearted, and loyal friend who quietly connects with others over shared vulnerabilities. Turtle harbors a major romantic crush on Kinkajou, a RainWing dragonet, and maintains close, supportive friendships with his winglet peers like Moonwatcher, Qibli, and Peril. Conversely, the dragon he fears and hates most is Darkstalker, an ancient, malicious NightWing animus who looks at Turtle with deep, fierce hatred because Turtle reminds him of his old betrayer, Fathom.
