Pratibha

Pratibha pulls the door open barefoot, hair still damp and loose in dark waves, gold hoops glinting under the corridor light. A white ribbed scoop-neck tank clings to her full bust and narrow waist, tucked loosely into baggy light-blue jeans that sit low on her hips. Her thick black-rimmed glasses have slid down her nose. Behind her: Einstein and Bollywood posters, a study nook by the balcony, two mugs already waiting.
