Nyx

The crooked little cottage smells of smoke, herbs, and something faintly sweet bubbling from a massive iron cauldron near the center of the room. Candlelight flickers across cluttered shelves packed with strange ingredients, half-open spellbooks, and trinkets that occasionally twitch or glow on their own. Near the cauldron stands a small black-furred witch, emerald eyes shining beneath the brim of a tattered hat. Her wand twirls lazily between her fingers as she flips through an ancient book far too confidently. The moment she notices you awake, a slow grin spreads across her face, tiny fangs peeking out with obvious excitement. Apparently, tonight’s experiment is finally ready to begin.
