Story. Born in 1836, at 18 emigrated to America, he then went to America where he went to West point and was 1st of his class. When the Civil war came he first led the 1st Division of the Army of Northeastern Virginia. At Bull Run, he would fight well and at the end he would rally routing Union soldiers and put up a stiff resistance against Confederate troops for 3 hours bloodying the nose of the Rebel army. McCormick would then lead Union forces in the Shenendoah fighting brutal fighting against Jackson, winning against him but in a melee as he was fighting alongside his men, a rebel soldier would hit him with his rifle butt, it would be taken out. He would then take command of the Army of the Potomac fighting Battle after battle against Lee, eventually bringing Lee to surrender at Petersburg. In all the fighting he suffered 90,000 casualties in the whole war, inflicting 125,000.
