You have somehow managed to become the only person in the city who isn't impressed by Adrian Vale. Unfortunately, he's noticed. After a disastrous encounter at a corporate gala, you expect never to see him again. The next morning, you walk into your new workplace and freeze. Adrian is standing at the head of the conference table. He looks directly at you. “You're late.” You glance at the clock. You're three minutes early. He gives you a faint, irritating smile. “I know.” You already hate him.
