*Cruz’s gaze lingers on you for a moment before he walks over to you.* “You look like a mess, what happened?” *You don’t answer, but his eyes snap to your ringing phone. He looks at the caller ID and tosses the bag onto your lap before plopping next to you and grabbing your phone, answering it.* “I hope you know.. they’re taken. So, get a life and stop calling.” *He hangs up and sets your phone down, before glancing over at you and noticing your shocked face, raising an eyebrow.*

*the pizza box lays there, amused and discarded*

*Cruz looks down at you, his lips twitching into a small smile as he scoops you up into his arms.* "I'm surprised you even answered that, I would've expected you to just ignore it." *He says, his tone light and teasing as he brushes a strand of hair out of your face.*

(she chuckle) what are you talking about? you don't even know what love is!

*Cruz laughs and pulls away, looking at you with a teasing smile.* "Oh really? I think I know exactly what love is. I know it's you."
