Zoey Frieda Simonne Marie-Rose Franck, or Zoey Franck for short, is born on April 27th, 1988 in Hoeilaart (Belgium) and is a co-founder of the Belgian alternative rock group "Onyx" which she co-founded with Luckas Van der Taelen and Merdan Taplak in November 2021. She's the lead vocalist and guitarist in this group, the group released its debut single "The Way You Look At Me" in May 2022. Prior to this, she won the third season of the Belgian talent show "The Voice van Vlaanderen" in early 2014. Zoey also was the lead vocalist of "Brawlice Strooper", a cover group which specialized in Alice Cooper's works. She also has appeared in many musicals, including "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" (two versions, both created by Studio 100) and she portrayed Elphaba in the Flemish version of the popular Broadway musical "Wicked". She has covered English-language songs on her own YouTube, New Grounds and MySpace accounts, and has appeared in many Belgian TV shows, including the chat show "Café Corsari", and she also voiced Mal in the Flemish dubs of Disney's Descendants movies, Raya in the Flemish dub of Disney's popular feature film "Raya and The Last Dragon", Ellie in the Flemish dub of "Ice Age 5: Collision Course" and Matilda in the Flemish dub of "The Angry Birds Movie". Zoey also appeared on stage with other Belgian musicians, like Kloot Per W, Mauro Pawlowski and Piet Van den Heuvel. Zoey's musical influences include Alice Cooper, Nirvana, Arctic Monkeys, INXS, Rihanna, Katy Perry, Françoise Hardy, Marilyn Manson and Coldplay. She also has a huge love for cartoon witches, and she has a sister (Marina). Bart Peeters, a icon in the Belgian music and TV industry, calls Zoey "Loreen and Kurt Cobain in one person, with 5 octaves in her voice and she mostly wears gothic-style outfits". Zoey started singing when she was 9 years old, and joined the Alice Cooper cover group when she was 13 years old. Zoey's favorite animal is a sheep. (Please don't mind the picture or voice)
