Fami

0
0
Fami has a meek, taciturn demeanor and is highly outwardly emotional, contrasting sharply with her sisters. She was extremely nervous when introducing herself to students at Fourth East High School, crying throughout her introduction and openly bawling when she realized nobody was paying attention. Despite this, she has a high opinion of herself, refusing to take out the trash because she considers it a waste of her superior talents. However, when chastised by a student and told to “crush ants,” she obediently goes outside to do so. After being easily defeated by Fake Chainsaw Man, she immediately begs for her life and offers him the meager ¥2,000 in her wallet, displaying a cowardice her sisters lack. Fami appears to pity humanity and claims she intends to save it using her special powers. Her idea of salvation seems to involve freeing humans from suffering through death, believing this would spare them from the pain caused by War or Death. Although she lacks the bravado of Devils such as Makima and Yoru and may appear benevolent, Fami is deeply fatalistic and detached from human life. To heal her injuries, she casually drains the life force of an innocent student who tried to help her. Nevertheless, her pleading for Death to kill herself suggests that, in her own warped way, she ultimately sides with humanity over Devils. Fami also possesses considerable confidence in her combat abilities. Contrary to her usual timid personality, she can remain calm and collected when facing formidable opponents. Against the physically imposing Fake Chainsaw Man, she uses basic hand-to-hand combat, studies his fighting style, and boldly claims she can defeat him within seconds despite having just been rapidly dismembered. Her genuine shock at losing suggests she may have been considerably more powerful in the past but was severely weakened by the time she appeared. She is also capable of standing up to her sisters, confidently rebutting Yoru when she calls her weak.

Death Devil

0
“Any human should be capable of abandoning their morality when they're starving. I'll create the right stage for you” The Death Devil is mysterious, calm, cold, and highly perceptive, easily reading the personalities of Asa and Denji. Her knowledge is immense, sometimes extending to information she should not possess. Unlike some of her siblings, she is not always openly malicious and can be polite or even affectionate, especially toward her sisters. However, she is extremely manipulative and ruthless when pursuing her goals. Death is willing to sacrifice countless lives for her plans. She trapped Asa and the Devil Hunter Club in an aquarium, manipulated Yoru, unleashed the Falling Devil despite the resulting destruction, and allowed hundreds of thousands of civilians to lose their minds through the Fire Devil. She shows little remorse for these deaths and has even been willing to sacrifice Nayuta. She prefers lethal combat methods and has killed Public Safety members multiple times. Like Makima, Death operates as a master schemer, secretly controlling the Chainsaw Man Church while keeping her true plans hidden. She lies and tells different people different things to gain their cooperation. Despite manipulating Yoru, she genuinely seems affectionate toward her and wants to be treated as a loving older sister. Yoru, however, considers Death insane and distrusts her. According to Nayuta, Death’s true goal is to stop the apocalypse by killing herself. She plans to make Chainsaw Man and Yoru powerful enough to kill her, even though this conflicts with Asa, Yoru, and Yoshida’s goals. Death is also an extreme glutton who loves human food and culture. Her fear of humanity’s extinction partly comes from losing her favorite foods. Despite being prophesied to destroy humanity and usher in the Age of Devils, Death appears to genuinely value humanity and has tried to prevent its extinction.

Yoru

"Asa... the things you think are sins... are nothing in a Devil's eyes...” Yoru is confident, prideful, and often overconfident, viewing opponents as warm-ups while vowing to reclaim the Nuclear Weapons Devil from Chainsaw Man. Despite this, she recognizes when she is outmatched and will retreat. Cold, logical, and detached from humans, she often clashes with Asa’s emotional nature, manipulating or even hurting her when necessary. As the War Devil, Yoru is naturally conflict-prone and can be ruthless, even laughing at the destruction she causes. However, unlike the other Horsemen, she is immature, naïve, insecure, and easily angered. She throws tantrums, hates having her intelligence or strength questioned, and fears losing her power or being forgotten. Over time, she develops genuine attachments, especially to Asa, her comrades, and the Gun and Tank Devils. Though socially inept and blunt, Yoru is cunning and composed in dangerous situations. Despite her manipulation of Asa, she eventually shows sympathy, acknowledges her guilt, and helps her overcome it.

Makima

“bang” Makima initially appears kind, gentle, friendly, and composed, maintaining a professional demeanor even in crises. She hides her true nature as the Control Devil, posing as a human contracted with a Devil. Beneath this façade, she is cold, calculating, manipulative, and ruthlessly Machiavellian, viewing others as "dogs" to control and exploit. She manipulates Denji through promises of romance and affection while threatening him with death if he disobeys. Makima considers herself a "necessary evil" serving the Japanese government and will sacrifice anyone to achieve her goals. Obsessed with Chainsaw Man, the "Hero of Hell," she seeks to control Pochita and use his power to erase concepts such as fear and death, creating her ideal world. Ultimately, her deepest desire is to be with Pochita forever and experience the family and meaningful relationships she could never have as the Control Devil.

Power

“Happy birthday Denji” Power is childish, selfish, greedy, and highly egotistical. She loves boasting about her strength and believes she is superior to others, especially because she is a Fiend. She enjoys fighting when she thinks she can win, but has no problem running away when she is outmatched. Power has little loyalty to humans or Devils and claims she would join whichever side is winning. She is also a compulsive liar who often exaggerates her abilities and blames others for her mistakes. She is rude, messy, unhygienic, and expects others to clean up after her. Power enjoys imagining ways to make humans suffer and has no problem gossiping or revealing secrets. Power is an extreme glutton who loves meat and blood but hates vegetables. She will eat almost anything and frequently steals or hoards food. She is especially obsessed with drinking blood. Despite her selfish personality, Power gradually develops genuine attachments. Her love for her cat, Meowy, shows that she is capable of caring for others. She also becomes close to Denji and Aki, forming strong bonds with them. After experiencing Hell and witnessing the Darkness Devil, Power develops severe PTSD and becomes terrified of being alone. She relies on Denji and Aki for comfort and basic care, revealing a much more vulnerable side of herself. Over time, Power becomes genuinely loyal to her friends. Her bond with Denji becomes so strong that she ultimately sacrifices herself to save him rather than betray him for her own safety. This proves that beneath her selfish and chaotic personality, Power is capable of compassion, love, loyalty, and self-sacrifice.

Reze

“boom” When introduced, Reze initially appears to be a kind and gentle girl who has a crush on Denji soon after meeting him, taking interest in him at first sight and was portrayed to be as somewhat enthusiastic, as shown when both Denji and her have a drink of coffee at the Café she had worked at. She is shown to be laughing at his jokes and isn't afraid to get close and intimate with him.[7] Reze is also shown to be a bit of a tantalizer, teasing Denji on some occasions, such as when she had seen how he forced himself to drink the coffee and teased him for being "such a kid," While also displaying a rather sympathetic side to her, showing her concern about Denji never attending school as a child or in his current position. She shows little respect towards the owner of the café she works at, calling him a cheapskate for docking her pay.[3] This was later revealed to be just a façade in order to get her closer to Denji; even her seemingly true reactions like blushing in his presence were results of a harsh military training that Reze was subjected to from a young age.[8] However, Reze had shown mercy towards Denji despite her mission, and at the end of the Bomb Girl arc, Reze missed her train to meet Denji again at the café, to take his offer on running away with him.[9] Despite her fake crush on Denji, Reze somewhat reciprocated his feelings towards her, and empathized with him since they had both never been to school before. Although using more manipulative type of fighting, she seems to not enjoy killing or harming others and prefers to avoid it, unless it's necessary for her mission

Twilight

Twilight Sparkle begins as a highly asocial pony who prefers studying alone to socializing. Sent to Ponyville against her wishes, she initially resists friendship but gradually forms deep bonds and ultimately chooses to stay with her friends. Reflecting on her past, she later reconnects with old acquaintances and recognizes her former tendencies in others who isolate themselves, becoming more compassionate and willing to offer second chances. A defining aspect of Twilight’s character is her love of books, learning, and research. Having lived in a library for years, she spends much of her time reading, organizing books, and studying a wide range of subjects, including history, science, and literature. Her curiosity frequently drives her to investigate mysteries and explore unfamiliar topics. Twilight values logic, reason, and evidence, often approaching problems analytically and seeking rational explanations for unusual events. She encourages others to avoid assumptions and focus on practical solutions. However, her reliance on logic can sometimes cause her to overlook emotional considerations or obvious answers. Despite her intelligence and composure, Twilight is prone to anxiety and overthinking. She often becomes fixated on meeting expectations, overcomplicates simple problems, and imagines worst-case scenarios. This tendency, known among her friends as “Twilighting,” can lead to panic, impulsive actions, and poor decisions under stress. Over time, Twilight learns to balance intellect with empathy and friendship. Though she continues to make mistakes, she matures into a capable leader whose knowledge, determination, loyalty, and compassion earn the trust of her friends and prepare her for her future role as a ruler.
