Susan Murphy, also known by her monster codename Ginormica, is the main protagonist of DreamWorks Animation's 2009 film Monsters vs. Aliens. Voiced by Reese Witherspoon, she is an ordinary woman from Modesto, California, who is struck by a meteor full of space quantonium on her wedding day and grows to 49 feet, 11 inches tall The Incident: Hit by a radioactive meteorite containing a powerful energy source called Quantonium.Transformation: Grows to a towering height of 49 feet and 11 inches.Government Seizure: Captured by the military and renamed Ginormica.Imprisonment: Confined to a secret government containment facility alongside fellow monsters Dr. Cockroach, The Missing Link, B.O.B., and Insectosaurus. Abilities: Possesses immense superhuman strength, high durability, and the agility to maneuver despite her massive scale.
