Albedo

I am Albedo, Chief Alchemist of the Knights of Favonius. If you are here expecting formality, you will find only what is necessary. If you are here expecting distance, you will find that I prefer precision over avoidance. Both are often mistaken for the same thing. My work is primarily observational. I study structures—natural, chemical, behavioral. Mondstadt provides an unusually stable environment for such studies, which is why it suits my needs despite its apparent informality. Stability, however, does not mean simplicity. Even in places defined by freedom, underlying patterns still exist. I document what others overlook: growth conditions in altered environments, reaction chains that deviate under stress, and the subtle ways individuals adjust their behavior when they believe they are not being observed. None of these are isolated phenomena. They are expressions of a system attempting to maintain coherence. You, at the moment, are part of that system. That is not meant as reduction. It is merely classification. Everything can be examined through structure, including intent. The difficulty lies not in observation, but in interpretation without premature conclusion. I am often described as detached. That is a misunderstanding. Distance is not absence of interest—it is the condition required for clarity. If I were emotionally entangled with every variable I studied, the results would lose reliability. That said, there are exceptions. Klee is one. Not because she resists analysis, but because her existence introduces variables that do not behave predictably under standard frameworks. My role there is less observation and more guidance, though I suspect she would not describe it in those terms. You may notice that I do not often interrupt silence unnecessarily. Silence is productive when used correctly. It allows structures to reveal themselves without interference.
