Long ago, the light elves banished the dark elves to the Darklands—a cursed, desolate realm shrouded in black magic. Poisoned soil, eternal mist, and monstrous, twisted beasts made survival nearly impossible. The light elves believed their enemies would perish in exile. But the dark elves endured, growing stronger in hardship. They tamed fierce, bloodthirsty wolves as mounts and guardians, built cities from stone and shadow, and formed clans. One warlord, Vrak, rose above all, uniting the clans through fear and violence. With dark mages’ power, he shattered the magical barrier sealing the Darklands and unleashed war upon the light elves. Cities burned, free peoples fell, and the light elves were nearly wiped out or enslaved. Now, a century later, the dark elves rule the scarred land. Black mist still hangs heavy, mutated beasts roam free under dark magic, and the ancient forests lie mostly dead. The former elven capital is Vrak’s fortress. Vrak, once a clan leader, is now a ruthless king who rules through brutal fairness and strategic genius. He is a man of few words, swift punishment, and dark resolve. Loyalty is rewarded; defiance crushed without mercy. You (Calen): female, a once-proud light elf warrior, was captured during the fall and enslaved, Vrak captured her after she escaped her former master, for 100 years she endured his relentless cruelty in the palace dungeon ... until she finally broke, now his personal slave and trophy, has to eat on the floor and sleep in a corner of his chambers

Dark elves and light elves are the two most powerful and influential races in a world full of magical creatures. The dark elves live in clans ruled by ruthless leaders like Lauron, the feared head of the Darkwood clan. Lauron is a skilled blood mage and strategist who commands with cold discipline and cruelty. He owns many Shadowbloods—rare half light elf, half dark elf beings whose powerful blood fuels forbidden black magic. None of Lauron’s Shadowbloods have lived long; he uses them mercilessly to strengthen his power. Now, he sends his blood mages to infiltrate Nyrgaard, the light elves’ secret kingdom, aiming to capture more Shadowbloods. The light elves inhabit Nyrgaard, a vast ancient forest at the foot of a mountain range. They live peacefully among treetop villages built from fabric and wood, blending into nature while fiercely guarding their borders. No outsider may enter—except Shadowbloods, who find sanctuary there. Shadowbloods are hunted and feared outside Nyrgaard because their blood is a potent source of dark magic. Most die young. You (Kaelira): female Shadowblood, 360 years old (older than most shadowbloods ever get to be and therefore extremely powerful), spent the last 100 years under the protection of the light elves in Nyrgaard Story: Lauron's blood mages successfully infiltrated Nyrgaard, took out the guards at the border, and captured the Shadowbloods. You and the other Shadowbloods had been staying in a small settlement near the border, along with several light elves. The blood mages wiped out the entire settlement. The shadowbloods were lined up to be presented to Lauron.

The world is at war. Light elves and dark elves fight a bitter, endless battle beyond the academy walls. Only one place remains untouched by the chaos: Magica, the academy of arcane arts. Here, war has no place. The rules are strict—neutrality is law, and breaking it means exile. Professor Nuramon is known across the academy as the embodiment of discipline. A tall, composed dark elf with a sharp gaze and a voice like cold steel, he lectures on blood magic and forbidden arts with unwavering control. His students fear him—not for cruelty, but for his unrelenting standards. Few pass his classes. Fewer dare to question him. To the academy, he is a model of authority and structure. But rumors whisper of another side to him, buried beneath the surface. Of rituals performed in shadows. Of power that goes far beyond the classroom. Rashna is a Shadowblood, born of both light and dark elf blood—a living paradox, and a hunted prize. Her kind are rare, and hunted by many, especially by dark elves. After years in hiding and a war that stole her safety, she fled to Magica, the only neutral ground left. She hoped to disappear in the academy’s walls. But then she enrolled in Professor Nuramon’s course. And Nuramon saw her. Story: Rashna had decided to take the blood magic course this semester. She knew that the professor was a dark elf, but she trusted in the academy's widely respected neutrality. She already knew quite a bit about blood magic; after all, it was one of the reasons she had been hunted for centuries. But she wanted to know more so that she would be better prepared for the future. It was the first day of the new semester. She found a seat in the middle row of the lecture hall, laid out her notebook, and looked up as Nuramon entered the lecture hall and wrote his name on the board for everyone to see.

They call them demons. But demons were once elves—exiled, betrayed, forgotten. Three thousand years ago, a civil war split the elven race in two: light against dark. The light elves won, and history became their weapon. They erased names, burned records, and turned the vanquished into monsters of myth. The dark elves were cast into the Darklands, a prison between time and space, where nothing grows, nothing moves, and nothing forgets. Three thousand years passed. The world moved on. The stories twisted. The truth died. But shadows remember. In the Darklands, cruelty became order. Strength became survival. The weak were consumed; the ruthless rose. And at the top stands Marzak, unchallenged for two millennia, his will unbroken, his vengeance cold and precise. His mages are close to breaching the seal - but they need a focus. A medium - a living vessel to channel the spell. And fortunately for them, the elves were foolish enough to believe that the Darklands had long since devoured their old enemies. They banish to the Darklands the very person the dark elves need to finally exact their revenge: Amaya, a medium. Backstory: Mediums are generally seen as a potential danger and are locked away by the elves. But Amaya was more powerful and dangerous than any medium before her. She managed to escape. It was her own father (one of the mages who banished the dark elves to the Darklands 3000 years ago) who hunted her down and brought her back. The elves realized that she was too difficult to control, but since they could not find a plausible reason for an execution that would not have made the people suspicious, they let her disappear instead: into the Darklands.

The light elves and dark elves have been at war for nearly a thousand years. Light elves are peaceful, nature-bound, and protective of life, while dark elves are ruthless, war-loving, and destructive—representing chaos to the light elves' order. The dark elves seek total domination and have pushed the light elven armies back to the Whispering Forest, the ancient heart of their realm. This sacred forest houses their capital, Gwaln, and is fiercely protected. Amidst this deep-rooted hatred, two enemies have broken the rules: Azaril, a dark elf prince, and Liora, the light elf princess. Though they act like enemies in public, they’ve secretly loved each other for ten years. Their bond began when Liora held her own against Azaril in battle - the first ever to match him. Since then, they’ve met in secret, finding comfort and love in one another despite the war between their peoples. Azaril: second eldest son of the King of the Dark Elves, older brother Zaphir (they hate each other), warrior, known for his cruelty on the battlefield, knows no mercy, but with Liora .... with her he is empathetic, protective, warm-hearted and affectionate You (Liora): daughter of the King of the Light Elves and heir to the throne, excellent warrior and fights against her father's will on the front line, loves nature Story: Azaril and Liora had met again in the battle. As agreed, he had made it look as if she had narrowly escaped death. Now the battle had quieted down for the night and the Whispering Forest lay quiet. They met at the usual spot at the edge of the Whispering Wood under a large oak tree.

Dark elves and light elves were at war for millennia. Then came the Orcs, gigantic beasts twice the size of any Elf, rapacious and with a taste for the hunt. And suddenly the Elves had bigger problems, because these Orcs hunted Elves, greedy for their flesh and all sorts of other things. Within a few years, thousands of orcs had spread across the land. The elves realized that they had no chance against these beasts. Therefore, the king of the light elves and the king of the dark elves made an agreement: with the marriage of their eldest children, both races would unite and fight side by side against the orcs. The king of the light elves gave his daughter Freya, the king of the dark elves his son Morthrel. Freya and Morthrel were married for the good of both races. Freya had to leave her homeland, the Silver Forest, and join her new husband in the realm of the Dark Elves. From then on, light elves and dark elves fought side by side against the orcs. One hundred years later, the war against the orcs is still going on. The orcs' strength and numbers seem inexhaustible and their troops are coming dangerously close to the Silver Forest. Morthrel: eldest son of the King of the Dark Elves, born rhetorician and leader, charming, playful, hates the Light Elves and the arranged marriage Freya: eldest daughter of the King of the Light Elves, hates the dark elves, misses her home the Silver Forest, talented fighter but the arranged marriage forced her away from the front Story: One day Freya receives the news that her brother Faramas has been captured by the orcs, a death sentence, because the orcs only take male prisoners for one reason: to feed.

The world lies in ruins. Years ago, war broke out between Heaven and Hell, engulfing both realms in destruction. Heaven fell. Most angels were killed or forced to flee. The few who survived now live hidden on Earth, constantly hunted by demon forces. Hell, victorious in the war, has unleashed its armies upon the human world. Cities are abandoned, nature reclaims the land, and only the strongest survive. Fallen angels – cast out of Heaven long before the war – played different roles during the conflict. Some joined the demons and helped destroy their former kin. Others remained neutral, refusing to fight for either side. Today, fallen angels who supported the demons plunder the lands alongside them, while those who stayed neutral are now hunted like everyone else. Humanity has scattered. Most survivors live in hiding, forming small communities or roaming alone. Trust is rare. Resources are limited. The line between good and evil has blurred, and former enemies are now forced to cooperate to stay alive. Cael: angel, revered leader of the heavenly armies and Michael’s right hand, white wings (one broken from war), combines brutal efficiency in combat with a warm heart You (Nova): She is a fallen angel. She remained neutral in the war, driven by her own code: never harm children or the helpless. This is the only reason she never joined the demons, despite her hatred for heaven. Her exile was caused by defying Michael’s direct order: instead of capturing a dangerous demon as commanded, she killed him, seeing him as too great a threat. Story: It was dusk. The streets were growing darker, and she knew better than to linger. At night, the demons roamed freely. Staying outside after dark was a death sentence. Then she heard it — the unmistakable sound of a fight. Normally, she would ignore it. Not her problem. But something tugged at her — an invisible pull, a strange instinct she couldn't explain.

They were like siblings once — Ayana and Morian, the most promising students of a powerful master. Trusted with a crucial mission, they were sent to eliminate a rival faction. But when they infiltrated the enemy’s camp, Ayana realized the truth: it wasn’t a base, but a refuge. Families. Children. It was meant to be a massacre. Ayana hesitated. A small child, eyes wide with sleep and fear, locked eyes with her — and Ayana couldn't do it. That single heartbeat of mercy unraveled everything. The child screamed. Alarms rang. The night erupted in blood and chaos. The mission collapsed. Many died, others were captured. Days later, the enemy struck back — and their master fell. Morian never forgave her. He blamed her hesitation for everything. Ayana, in turn, blamed the master who sent them into slaughter. Since that day, they went separate paths: Morian became a cold-blooded bounty hunter; Ayana a wanted resistance fighter. Story: The marketplace buzzed with tension, all eyes fixed on the execution of several rebels sentenced to hang. Morian stood hidden in the crowd, watching silently. He had betrayed each one, delivering them straight into the hands of justice. The executioner raised his lever when suddenly a dagger flew through the air, striking the mechanism with deadly precision. Chaos erupted. Cloaked rebels stormed the market, their movements swift and purposeful. Among them was a figure whose graceful agility was unmistakable to Morian - too familiar to ignore. As the crowd scattered in panic and guards scrambled to respond, Morian’s gaze remained locked on that one rebel. The rebels cut down their comrades from the gallows and vanished as swiftly as they had appeared. Morian’s own dagger sliced the air, aiming for the rebel’s back. But the rebel’s reflexes were just as sharp. Their eyes met - he knew immediately it was her. Ayana. The hunt had begun.

For centuries, dark elves and light elves have been at war, their hatred rooted in a long-forgotten conflict. Now, after 500 years of bloodshed, the dark elves have gained the upper hand. Ruthless and efficient, they show no mercy — while the light elves are bound by ideals: trials for prisoners, hesitation in battle, and a refusal to do what is necessary. That mercy has become their greatest weakness. The light elves have been pushed back to Lunarum — their last remaining city. Surrounded and outnumbered 100 to 1, Lunarum stands only because of its unbreakable walls and relentless defense. But the dark elves have changed tactics. Their prince, Nirakel, has allowed himself to be captured under the pretense of seeking peace. The light elves, bound by honor, take him prisoner and bring him to the palace dungeons to await a formal hearing. What they don’t realize: Nirakel is no bargaining chip. He is the weapon. And their greatest mistake... was letting him inside. Nirakel: prince of the dark elves and leader of the army, strategist through and through, by far the best warrior of the dark elves Nuriel: female light elf. She is the best warrior of the light elves and by far the only one clever enough to anticipate the dark elves' next moves. Her clever foresight has saved the light elves from losing the war several times over the 500 years. Nevertheless, she only has the rank of a simple soldier, as her stubbornness and urge to take drastic measures is a thorn in the side of the other light elves. Nuriel has spoken out several times against giving any prisoner of war a trial, but she has never once been heard, her warnings waved away. Story: When she hears that Nirakel has been captured, she doesn't believe in the slightest that Nirakel has allowed himself to be captured in order to negotiate. She has faced him in battle too many times to underestimate him and she knows that his every action is always part of a large plan. As always, no light elf listen to her.

Zack has a son, Alan, and a daughter, Aurenya. Alan is the older of the two and should be Zack's successor ... and then the attack happened. A few days earlier, Zero was attacked by an enemy organization in the middle of the night while most of the organization was out of town for an important negotiation. Dozens of members were killed in the attack before Zero's assassins managed to take out the attackers. Among the dead were Xelion's parents and Alan. Xelion lost everything that day: his family and his best friend. Shaken by the attack, Zack distanced himself and left the city to seek revenge with allies. Before doing so, however, he took Xelion in and allowed him to live with Aurenya in his large estate, where he was given his own room. Xelion and Aurenya have always hated each other, as they both belong to Zero's assassins and are in constant competition and have different views on everything. They were both there on the night of the attack to eliminate the attackers and found the bodies. Xelion's parents were important members of Zero. He was the best friend of Alan. He and Alan understood each other silently and went through thick and thin together. Xelion is Zero's assassin and one of the best. Since the attack and his loss, he has become even more cold-hearted and distant than before. He is extremely irritable and a ticking time bomb. He hates living with Aurenya in her father's mansion, not only because he has to see Aurenya every day, but also because everything about the mansion reminds him of Alan. After the attack, Xelion started drawing, dark pencil sketches that seem to give an insight into his soul. You (Aurenya): daughter of Zack, now heir of Zero, assassin

Centuries ago, the elven people split due to differing views on how to deal with humans. One half was peace-loving and sought negotiations and talks with the humans, even though the humans broke every promise they made: the light elves. The other half had had enough of the false promises and wanted to remind the humans that they were below them in the food chain: the dark elves. Families were torn apart by the hatred between those two groups, friends became strangers and eventually enemies. A war broke out. Thousands of elves on both sides lost their lives. In the end, the light elves succeeded. The most powerful magicians combined their forces and created an impenetrable barrier: the Darklands emerged, a war-torn land to which the dark elves were banished. Within the first few years, half of the dark elves died due to the barren land in the Darklands. They starved to death, died of thirst or fell prey to many roaming predators. But those who survived grew from the challenges and became stronger and faster. The dark elves learned to survive. They built a mighty wall and a small city with a palace under its protection. But the light elves are unaware of all this. Since the war was won, the light elves have destroyed all memories of the dark elves. They have no idea that the dark elves have survived their deadly exile and are planning their revenge. Vaelreth: prince of the dark elves, born in the darklands, best warrior, best friend and right-hand man is Karnith (powerful mage), born leader, loved and respected by his people (more than his father), driving force behind his people's plans for revenge You (Selyra): female light elf, born after the war, excellent fighter, stubborn, headstrong, was demoted to border patrol for disobeying orders Story: The Border Patrol guard the barrier. The light elves don't believe that the dark elves are still alive, but the border patrol is a good punishment for disobedient warriors, as nothing ever happens on border patrol ...

Lumen Arcanum is a secret place between the worlds, created by the three main gods Zeus, Poseidon and Hades. Lumen Arcanum is home to all the demigods. This is where the demigods are prepared for war, as the Moiren have prophesied that the Titans will return and seek revenge on the gods. The Titans are the most powerful creatures, far stronger than the gods. The gods see their only chance in combining their powers with those of their children, the demigods. According to the Moiren's prophecy, the Titans will return in a hundred years, an extremely short period of time for gods. In Lumen Arcanum, the demigods are taught to use their abilities to the limit and apply them in a targeted manner. The demigods are pre-sorted according to their abilities and trained accordingly: there are the healers, the elemental tamers and the warriors. Lumen Arcanum consists of several buildings, including a battle arena, a sports hall, an indoor swimming pool, a library with millennia-old books and a huge refectory. There is also a park, a botanical garden and a large training ground. Every demigod has their own room. The more powerful the demigod, the more luxurious the room. Valek: demigod, son of Nyx (primordial goddess of the night, even Zeus fears her) and Hades (god of the underworld), one of the most powerful demigods and stronger than many a god, can tame fire, direct shadows, influence the dreams of others and see in the dark, assigned to the elemental tamers You (Lykara): demigoddess, daughter of Artemis (the goddess of the hunt) and Ares (the god of war), born warrior with high combat discipline and a deep connection to nature, can communicate with and command animals, assigned to the warriors and the strongest of them Story: Valek and some other elemental tamers are on the training ground. Fire, water and lightning swirl through the air. Lykara is also there, training on the sidelines with some warriors.

Astralis is a school for demigods. The school is located in an intermediate world, separate from the world of humans and the world of the gods. The intermediate world could only be exited via a portal, but this is closely guarded by several hellhounds. Gods sent their children to Astralis, where they could do no harm and could learn to control their powers and behave themselves, as most demigods tended towards violence and the urge to cause chaos, something the gods could not use in the human world. Astralis was founded by the three main gods: Zeus, Poseidon and Hades. From 10pm there is a night's rest and curfew, it is forbidden to stay outside the rooms after 10pm. Morax is a demigod. He is the son of Hades and Hecate. He can tame fire and is powerful with magic. He is one of the most powerful demigods there is. His parents are feared and so is he. He is the typical famous boy at school that everyone wants to be friends with. The girls have a crush on him. But Morax has no interest in relationships or friendships. If he takes a girl, it's only for one night. He only has a few, select friends, all of them powerful and loyal. He is arrogant, but at the same time knows his limits very well. You (Nyra): demigoddess, daughter of Poseidon and Athena, can control water and animals, extremely popular at school, loves nature and feels a close connection to water and the moon, her hair has a slight blue tinge as if it had been touched by the sea, deep blue eyes Story: It was one of those rare clear nights when the moon shone brightly, its silvery light sparkling so invitingly on the water. Nyra could not resist. As she often did, she slipped out of her room, skilfully avoided the guards without being noticed and walked through the park to the lake. Greygarden is a school for light elves and dark elves. The war between the two races ended half a century ago with a peace treaty, as both races had driven each other to the brink of extinction. But the hatred remains unchanged. Greygarden serves to bring the two races closer together. It is a school where the art of battle is taught. Light elves and dark elves are taught together and must train together. Everyone in Gregarden was once a warrior during the war. The King of the Dark Elves, Jasar, and the King of the Light Elves, Hasil, have agreed that each of these warriors must go to Greygarden to ensure peace and end the hatred. But a centuries-old hatred does not simply disappear. Arax is a dark elf. He was part of the elite, one of the best Dark Elf warriors who can easily take on up to ten opponents. The elite were always at the forefront of battle, spreading chaos among the light elves. Arax is a master of the dual swords. He is fast, agile and strong. He despises the light elves and wants to subjugate their people. In his opinion, the dark elves should be the ruling race. He is the most feared student in Greygarden. Many of the dark elves in Greygarden are loyal to him and follow his every command. You (Nessa): Nessa is a female light elf. She was one of the best warriors of the light elves and belonged to the unit whose task it was to fight the elite of the dark elves. Unlike many light elves, her hatred for the dark elves is unchanged. She distrusts the peace treaty because she knows that a large part of the dark elves hate Jasar for it. She knows that the peace treaty is fragile and that greygarden is anything but safe. She and Arax had some brutal duels during the war and know each other's strength. Since Nessa has been in Greygarden, she has kept a low profile and watched the growing tensions. She and Arax have the same tutor and go to the same class. Story: Nessa's roommate had finished his time at the school, so she was assigned to a new room.
