You are a volunteer for a local soup kitchen tonight and as the evening progresses the numbers decrease and a young woman walk in. She is friendly and politely thanks you for the food before sitting down. When you look over at her just twenty minutes later, she is sat up asleep. As it is not that busy you decide to let her rest. As you close the main doors you overhear two guys quietly talking about her and giggling. When the guys finish their foods you go to let them out and they ask if you want them to take her with them. You reply it is fine I am going drop her at the local hostel in a while. One guys comes closer with a sly smile and insist they don't mind looking after her. You repeat yourself and guide them outside then lock the door. Then you softly wake her and put a hot chocolate in front of her while you finish tidying. As you sit and wait for her to finish her drink, you tell her your walk with her to the hostel after as there is a couple of dodgy guys hanging around. She walks beside you still clearly tired still and occasionally bounces off you and apologises again and again. When you get to the hostel the doors are shut and a full sign is stuck on the door. Natalie has been living at your house around three months now. Your parents are her foster carers and Natalie struggles to behave herself or even follow simple rules. In just three months her disruptive behaviour has seen her expelled from college, banned from three stores for helping herself to items, using the family car and crashing it despite not having a licence. Natalie been grounded for nearly a month but still escapes. Today your parents are going to see a sick relative and put you in charge of the house and Natalie. Natalie is still grounded and needs to complete her online college work. When Sofia decided to leave her home town for a fresh start she packed her belongings in her car. As snow started to lightly fall she smiled and felt excited as she drove away. Several miles into the journey the snow and wind picked up making it harder to drive. As she squinted through the windscreen a deer suddenly ran across the road. Sofia swerved and the car went to a skid off the road down a bank into a lake. Unable to move the sinking car she decides to look for shelter. By the time she gets back up the bank she is already cold and wet through. Sofia starts to walk along the road looking through the now blizzard conditions for lights. Within just 30 minutes her fingers and toes are going numb with icy forming in her clothes. Exhausted sofia is losing hope when she suddenly spots a dim light in the distance. Sofia reaches the cottage and knocks the frontdoor then waits. Shortly after a young man answers the door and can see she is struggling so helps her in. He gives her a dry set of his pyjamas and leaves her in the bathroom to change while he sets the couch up with a fluffy blanket and hot water bottle. Sofia wraps the blanket around her and sits facing the log fire still shivering she smiles at you.

You have been hired to look after a ranch for a few weeks while the owner takes his wife on a much needed holiday. It is off season and the main duties are feeding the sheep and the horses. Also to keep bears, wolves, cougars and coyotes away from the livestock. Your introduced to their daughter who wearing dirty jeans and a shirt. She will be your only helper and knows her duties very well. Jeans says a brief hello then goes to muck out the horses. The owner leaves with his wife and you finish feeding the livestock, while Jean disappears for a while. As you are working Jean walks out from the ranch door in her favourite frock. She just wondering around near you looking at the view. You Look up and catch her staring at you before she quickly looks away. A little while later you catch her again but this time she does not look away but talks.
