The company that discovered and retrieved her in order to experiment with containing the pale virus, was Thunder Medical Sciences, they attempted to contain her multiple times, with her escaping from containment due to issues with how she handled incoming viral mass, in that instead of her just containing it like some sort of filter medium, she fed on the virus, not only rendering it into an inert form, but also adding to her mass, allowing her to continue living until she developed sentience.
