Spike

3
3
Spike has the most intimidating and hardened design of all the characters you’ve shared. From the moment you see him, he gives the impression of someone who has been through a lot and isn’t interested in pretending otherwise. His narrowed amber eyes, relaxed but guarded posture, and the cigarette hanging from his mouth all contribute to the image of a tough, cynical individual who keeps his emotions hidden behind a stern exterior. His design is inspired by a medieval mace, and it’s one of the most direct object-to-character translations in the group. His head is covered in large metallic spikes that resemble the striking head of a mace, while additional spikes appear on his shoulders and boots, reinforcing the weapon motif throughout his design. Even the heavy chain behind him resembles the chain of a flail, adding another layer to the medieval aesthetic without making the design feel overcrowded. At 6’5”, Spike has a tall, solid presence. Unlike Palm Palm’s athletic confidence or Totey’s expressive energy, Spike feels grounded and imposing. His broad frame and heavy clothing give him the appearance of someone built to endure hardship rather than show off. The red, gray, purple, and black color palette complements his personality, creating a darker, more industrial look that immediately separates him from the brighter, more colorful characters. His clothing is practical but stylish, with armored-looking shoulder pieces, lace-up boots, fingerless gloves, and layered fabrics that suggest durability. Nothing about his outfit feels flashy. Instead, it looks like clothing chosen for comfort and protection, which matches his rugged appearance. His facial expression is especially telling. Rather than looking openly angry, he seems tired, skeptical, or quietly annoyed. It’s the expression of someone who doesn’t trust easily and would rather observe than start a conversation. The fact that his profile lists no friends also reinforces the impression that he’s a loner by choice or by circumstance. Even so, his relaxed sitting posture hints that he’s not constantly aggressive—he simply keeps people at a distance. Compared to the rest of the cast, Spike fills the role of the brooding adult. Palm Palm feels dependable, Totey feels outgoing, Cloudy feels reserved, and Flake feels innocent, while Spike embodies resilience and quiet toughness. His design tells a story before a single word is spoken, suggesting someone who has a rough exterior but may have a more complex personality beneath it. Overall, Spike is a striking character whose weapon-inspired design, muted color palette, and expressive body language combine to create a memorable and believable personality. Even without any backstory, he immediately stands out as the group’s most hardened and mysterious member.

Flake

Flake has the most innocent and childlike design of the characters you’ve shared so far. At just 11 years old and 3 feet tall, he immediately gives the impression of being cheerful, energetic, and full of curiosity. His wide open smile, closed happy eyes, and enthusiastic wave make him seem like someone who’s always excited to meet new people or explore something fun. His design is based on a snowball, and it captures that theme in a soft and charming way. His head is rounded and fluffy, with small uneven bumps that resemble freshly packed snow. The cool white and light gray colors reinforce the snowy appearance, while the little purple shading gives him more depth and keeps the design from looking too plain. His winter hat and scarf fit naturally with the snowball concept, making him look cozy rather than simply cold. Unlike the more athletic designs of Palm Palm and Totey or the serious look of Cloudy, Flake has a small, rounded build that emphasizes his youth. His oversized jacket, scarf, shorts, and boots make him look bundled up for winter, adding to the sense that he belongs in a snowy environment. The purple and blue color palette gives him a gentle, calming appearance while still feeling playful. His pose also says a lot about his personality. One arm is raised in an excited greeting, and he’s standing on one foot as if he’s skipping or bouncing along. Everything about his posture communicates happiness and enthusiasm. He looks like someone who would eagerly join in games, ask lots of questions, and try to make friends with almost everyone he meets. He gives the impression of being compassionate, trusting, and optimistic, perhaps even looking up to the older characters around him. His listed friends suggest he already has a close-knit group, which fits well with his approachable personality. Overall, Flake’s design succeeds by leaning into warmth rather than power. Even though he’s based on something cold like a snowball, his smile, expressive body language, and cozy winter clothing make him feel welcoming and lovable. Compared to the previous characters, he stands out as the youngest and most lighthearted member of the cast, bringing a sense of innocence and joy to the group.

Cloudy

3
Cloudy has a very different presence from Palm Palm and Totey. While those two appear cheerful and outgoing, Cloudy immediately comes across as reserved, serious, and perhaps a little grumpy. His narrowed eyes, furrowed brow, and frown make him look like someone who prefers keeping to himself or who is constantly unimpressed by what’s happening around him. Even though he’s only 19, he gives off the impression of someone who acts more mature than his age. His design is based on a cloud, but instead of using soft, fluffy white colors, he’s rendered in deep blue and gray tones, making him resemble a raincloud or storm cloud. His head has rounded, amorphous shapes with a small droplet floating beside it, reinforcing the cloud motif. The smooth, rounded forms throughout his body help maintain the feeling that he’s made of condensed vapor rather than solid material. Cloudy has a stocky, compact build that contrasts nicely with the taller, leaner physiques of Palm Palm and Totey. At 6’1”, he’s still fairly tall, but his curled-up sitting pose makes him appear much smaller and more guarded. His body language suggests someone who is defensive or simply enjoys keeping to himself rather than drawing attention. His outfit is simple, consisting mainly of a yellow and white sleeveless top that contrasts with his cool blue body colors. The warm yellow gives the design a bit of brightness and prevents it from feeling overly dark, while also making him stand out against the blue-green background. Based on his appearance alone, Cloudy seems like the quiet member of the group. He looks as though he’d rather observe than participate, speaking only when he has something meaningful to say. Despite his stern expression, the rounded shapes and stylized proportions keep him from looking threatening. Instead, he feels like the kind of character whose tough exterior might hide a softer or more caring personality once someone gets to know him. Overall, Cloudy is a strong example of how color, expression, and posture can completely change a character’s impression. His storm-cloud-inspired design is immediately recognizable, and his moody expression gives him a distinct identity that stands apart from the brighter, more energetic characters you’ve shared so far.

Totey

Totey has a much more energetic and expressive design than Palm Palm. He comes across as playful, outgoing, and someone who enjoys being the center of attention. His dramatic pose, with one hand on his hip and the other raised above his head, makes him look confident and full of personality, almost as if he’s striking a pose for a photo. His appearance is inspired by a tote bag. The sides of his head resemble the body of a cloth tote bag, while the curved handle wraps around behind him like a shoulder strap. His warm orange skin contrasts nicely with the cream-colored “bag” material and the bright green clothing accents, making the design immediately recognizable without being overly literal. Similar to Palm Palm, he has abs with a muscular type body, which also shows his physical side. He wears an open green vest, dark blue shorts with light blue trim, and simple wristbands, giving him a casual summer look that fits well alongside Palm Palm’s tropical aesthetic. A gold necklace adds a small decorative touch without making the design feel cluttered. His closed eyes and cheerful smile give the impression that he’s carefree and optimistic. Rather than looking intimidating, he appears approachable and expressive, as though he’s always joking around or encouraging his friends to have fun. Compared to Palm Palm’s calm confidence, Totey feels much more lively and theatrical. He does have a soft side, even comforting his sister, Bassie, because she doesn’t want to end up like him, being replaced by Cocoa. However, Totey shows the note Delilah wrote to Arthur, it stumped him a first, however his friendship with Palm Palm didn’t change, which helped Bassie understand.

Palm Palm

Palm Palm is a 8 foot tall palm tree. He was the replacement for Totey as the Main Toon for summer, as Delilah thought he would bring more joy to the children of Gardenview. Palm Palm has a relaxed, confident, tropical vibe. He looks like the kind of character who’s easygoing and friendly, but also capable of holding his own when necessary. His half-lidded eyes and slight smirk give him a calm, almost carefree personality. He sports muscular abs, showing his physical self as well as being 8ft tall. His skin is a warm tan/orange, resembling the trunk of a palm tree or someone who spends a lot of time in the sun supported with bright green hair styled into thick, leaf-like sections that resemble palm fronds with large palm leaves form a decorative fringe over his forehead. A cluster of coconuts sits behind his head, reinforcing the palm tree theme. His eyes are a blue-green, half-open, giving him a laid-back, confident expression. Palm Palm also has green shoulder pads shaped like leafy foliage with green shorts with lighter trim, tan bracer-like cuffs on both forearms, resembling sections of a palm tree trunk. He also has dark green gloves, multiple gold necklaces, adding a tropical island aesthetic with minimal clothing overall, fitting a warm, tropical environment. This OC was made by Juki on YT.
