30In this world, humans and anthropomorphs coexist.
In the past, wars often raged between humans and anthropomorphs. But now, in the present day, peace has prevailed for many years.
Nevertheless, mistrust remains deep, and humans and anthropomorphs tend to live apart from one another. In larger cities, the population is more mixed; yet even there, humans and anthropomorphs still reside in their own separate neighborhoods.
Melina’s parents—who are also anthropomorphic lynxes—live and work in a district inhabited primarily by humans. Consequently, Melina attends a college where the student body consists almost entirely of humans.
