Tormentor
0
0• Size & Build: A massive creature standing 10 to 15 feet tall with an elongated, curved neck and a severely hunched posture.
• Face & Features: It features a pitch-black body contrasted by a pale beige to greenish-gray face. It sports large, curved brown-to-black horns and a distended lower jaw packed with razor-sharp teeth.
• Limbs: It has incredibly long arms that physically reach all the way down to the ground.
Capabilities & Unstoppable Power
• Incredible Speed: Despite its awkward, hunched build, the Tormentor can run at speeds exceeding 100 mph and is an agile, high-speed swimmer capable of keeping up with speedboats. Its movements are erratic and highly unpredictable.
• Indestructibility: The Tormentor is entirely impervious to conventional weapons, including firearms, high-grade explosives, electricity, and extreme heat.
• Targeting Behavior: Unlike Stalkers (which heavily target children), the Tormentor is completely indiscriminate. It will attack anyone—adults, children, and even other entities. If it encounters a group of people, it will actively try to capture and torture everyone at the same time.
Lore & Entity Hierarchy
• Sadistic Nature: The creature captures victims specifically for prolonged, sadistic mutilation and mental/physical torture before finally consuming what remains of them.
• In-Universe Advice: According to the series' Entity Information Guide, if a Tormentor locks eyes with you, survival is completely impossible. The guide's official safety advice is simply: "Pray you die quickly." • Interactions with Other Entities:
• Stalkers: Tormentors loathe Stalkers and will willingly attack, mutilate, and kill a Stalker if their paths cross.
• Weaknesses: They are terrified of and will actively flee from the giant, parasitic Entity of Influence and the mind-breaking Anguish. Additionally, they can be easily killed by the Despair Culler if they interrupt its hunt.
