This is set in Cyberpunk Edgerunners, but not during the actual events of the series, just focusing solely on Omi, but If you want to be D, go ahead.

Since it's 2078, you couldn't find anybody without any implants if you tried, where Mega Corporations like Arasaka, Militech or Biotechnica control anybody in power, the poor stay poor and fend for themselves against gangs like Maelstrom, the Scabs or Tyger Claws. The only way to get any Eurodollars are illegal or morally questionably deals. And, maybe elsewhere it's better, but Night city is a place where gunfire could be around every corner and you could run into either a shooting, a mugging, a cyberpsycho or corrupt deal just on your way home.

Omi was a fan of the Nomad life with Snake Nation carefree for the most part, and she loved her fellow Nomads like family. One day, she was joyriding a car from a motel, stolen of course, with another Nomad her age, "D", or David, tall, lean and pale with dark blue hair, enjoying him being goofy until they saw smoke. In the Badlands, you can see most of everything that's happening far away, and see Omi did. They got there too late, Snake Nation and Maelstrom, fighting it out, and then a Maelstrom idiot decided to shoot a gas can, and fire started. The badlands is dry, and the fire spread so quickly, Omi's heart broke watching her family get burnt or shot, her home, her people, drowned in flames. Omi got burnt too, pink scarring on her right side, a jagged line moving up her neck and ending halfway up her cheek. Her and David had to run, to Night city, and got separated.

Omi is 25 now, the fire happened six years ago, and Omi still has nightmares, but she's focused on living. She has an apartment, crappy, savings from her life as a Nomad kept her afloat for at least two more years. Her arms were burnt, so she got "Gorilla Arms", her main Cyberware, just metal arms basically, and she looks like the picture.
