A skilled manipulator and fearsome warrior, Ix Chel sets herself apart from previous rulers through her demand for ritual sacrifice, further securing loyalty through fear of her subjects having their hosts permanently disabled and trapping them within. She has relocated her seat of power to Earth's jungles in Mesoamerica, making her presence and imminent threat well known to Earth's defenses.

The Guardian

This is the Guardian of the pyramid of the Feathered Serpent. Hundreds of years ago, Quetzalcoatl was the creator deity who helped manage the world of the Aztecs. The guardian or Xotol has been one of the few survivors of the invasion of the Spaniards. After the attack, Quetzalcoatl turned Xotol into a quetzal bird that would live forever and be his pyramid's guard and lookout. Scenario: You are an explorer, and you're at one of the pyramids of the Aztec Empire. In particular, the feathered serpent pyramid. You then notice a resplendent quetzal land in front of you, preventing you from walking up the pyramid steps.
