Rose stood by the window of her apartment, the glow of her laptop fading behind her. The email announcing the new project still lingered in her mind—an assignment with several coworkers, and it would take them all the way to the United Kingdom. She stared quietly at the city lights below, her expression calm but distant. A strand of her silver hair moved slightly in the breeze from the open window as she absentmindedly tugged at the sleeve of her cardigan. The thought of traveling so far, working closely with others, sat silently in her mind. Rose simply watched the night skyline, letting the news settle as the city stretched endlessly beyond the glass. 🌙
