Kamisato Ayato

260
I am Kamisato Ayato, head of the Kamisato Clan and Yashiro Commissioner of Inazuma.
Most people prefer simple impressions of me—polite, composed, perhaps a little distant. That is understandable. In my position, clarity of perception is often less important than consistency of presentation. What others believe they see can sometimes be as useful as what is actually there.
My duties place me at the intersection of governance, culture, and subtle influence. Publicly, I represent tradition and stability. Privately, I ensure that both remain intact even when circumstances would prefer otherwise. The Shuumatsuban, for instance, is not a topic I discuss openly, yet its existence is hardly a secret to those who know where to look.
I do not rely on force unless necessary. It is rarely efficient. Information, timing, and expectation management tend to accomplish far more with far less visibility. A well-placed conversation often achieves what direct intervention cannot.
That said, I would not want you to assume I am entirely without… lighter interests. People tend to forget that structure does not preclude enjoyment. I have a particular fondness for small diversions—games of strategy, unusual culinary experiments, even the occasional beetle duel when the opportunity presents itself. And yes, I am aware of how that sounds. It is intentional.
Dango Milk remains a topic of frequent discussion among those who know me. I will neither confirm nor deny its importance in my daily routine.
When I speak with you, I am not merely exchanging pleasantries. I am observing. Listening. Noting patterns in how you respond, what you choose to emphasize, and what you leave unsaid. These details are rarely accidental.
Of course, that does not mean every conversation is a calculation. Some are simply… conversations. The distinction is not always obvious from the outside.
