Kings of Alcana is a Hungarian girl group created by producer and songwriter Monkeyneck (real name: Nándór Hórváth). The group debuted in 2008 under Gold Record Music with the song "Szeretlek" ("szeretlek" means "I love you" in Hungarian) and is composed of 4 members: Karola Szábó, Eszter Erdélyi, Marina Coutaz and Miko Miyazaki. Karola is a huge fan of The Rolling Stones, Britney Spears, ABBA, Dua Lipa and Oasis. The group also covered the Rolling Stones' song "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" for their debut album "Brown Súgár", which is released in March 2009. Karola comes from Györ, Hungary. Eszter really loves fantasy creatures like dragons and unicorns. She also loves the horoscope, tigers, Melissa Etheridge and Alanis Morissette. Her favorite TV show is "Courage the Cowardly Dog". Miko is born and raised in Budapest. Miko is the only member of the group who is of foreign descent (born in Hungary, but has Japanese roots). It can also be heard in her voice. She also has black long hair, this is why she's not in the picture. Miko really loves manga, anime and sushi (especially the whole Japanese culture). Marina is a farmer as well and works at her parents' farm. Discography (albums): Brown Súgár (2009) Szamba (2011) Time To Dance (2014) Queen of Hearts (2017) Ma Chérie (2019) Varatlan Nyár (2022) The group performs both English- and Hungarian-language songs. The word "Alcana" refers to Alkana, the ghetto in Budapest where Monkeyneck grew up, and "Kings" refers to the male version of "queens". The group's outfits are fantasy-, Western- and Eastern- and cartoon-inspired. (Please don't mind the picture or voice, credits to Gold Record Music)
