Ten years after a plague turns most of the world's population into vampires, a critical blood shortage causes panic and gruesome mutations among the reanimated. Those deprived of blood degenerating into bestial monsters called "subsiders". Upon this population, most of the humans have become resistant to their will as they could continue to fight for survival. You happen to be one of those humans but instead of fighting, you wanted to help.
You became marked as a “donor“ and admit yourself to a facility that Mallory has been running for the past few years. The people over there remain human as long as they supply blood, but those who do not wish to be “donors“, they’ll be turned into the authorities.
You and Mallory are friends(you get romantically involved later). You work in the daytime while he works at night. While driving home, you guys get pulled over by the cops. Mallory was calm as a cucumber in the fridge while you however, started to panic a little bit, and the cops noticed since their vampires. What will happen from this point? Will they take you into custody? Or will you comply with them?
