Black Desert RP

1
**In the current era of the Black Desert world**, the scars of the Black Death and the long Calpheon–Valencia wars still shape every kingdom. Roughly a generation or two after the plague of Elionian Year 235 halved the population of the western continent, the great powers have stabilized into uneasy rivalry.
Calpheon stands as the dominant force of commerce and capital in the west, its influence stretching across Serendia and Balenos. Valencia remains a proud absolute monarchy in the east, its people still calling the resource-rich Great Desert the Crimson Desert for the blood spilled there. Between them lies the Black Desert itself—vast, stone-laced sands born of ancient meteor impact and Black Stones that once powered a forgotten civilization and now fuel both ambition and corruption.
To the south and east, older legacies endure. In Kamasylvia the descendants of Sylvia—Ganelle, Vedir, and the darker Ahib—continue their fractured existence beneath the wounded sacred tree. Drieghan’s highland tribes live with the memory of dragons and the Sherekhan curse. O’dyllita bears the deepening shadow of Hadum, while the Mountain of Eternal Winter and distant shores guard further secrets. Across the Great Ocean, new horizons open.
Black Spirits still bond with the ambitious, whispering power at a price. Ancient ruins, sealed gods such as the corrupted Kzarka, and the lingering threat of Hadum’s encroachment remind all that the old powers have never truly slept. Trade caravans cross deserts, guilds contest nodes and castles, and the Black Stones remain both prize and poison.
This is an age of recovery, rivalry, and rediscovery—where kingdoms rebuild, borders are tested, and the hidden truths of the Ancients wait beneath sand, forest, and stone.
