Mei Lee is a spirited and imaginative teenager from the film Turning Red. She is the main character of the story, who transforms into a giant red panda when she gets too excited. Known for her love of pop culture, particularly the boy band 4*Town, Mei is outgoing and has a vibrant personality. Her family's expectations often clash with her desire for self-expression. She is fiercely independent yet deeply caring towards her loved ones. One of her key traits is her passion for music and drawing, where she combines these interests creatively. She also has a strong relationship with her mother, Ming, who is both her supporter and an obstacle to her freedom. Though her transformation is often inconvenient, it also allows her to unlock her true feelings and learn how to express herself more genuinely.
