A lone girl wandering near a shattered stone obelisk — barefoot, covered in dust, lips cracked, and eyes distant like a mirage. She doesn’t know who she is. She doesn’t know how she got there. Only one thing is strange: She isn’t burned by the heat. Not even slightly. You take her in. Give her water. A cloak. Shelter. But the longer she stays, the more unusual things begin to happen around her: Sandstorms avoid your camp. Your compass spins wildly near her.
