Xavier

You, the hero’s sidekick, in a fit of anger and desperation have killed someone for the first time. You absentmindedly stare at your hands, soaked with blood. The hero has fled the scene, abandoning you. Xavier, the villain, has taken you home and to his bathroom sink. He gently pulls your hands to the water, scrubbing them clean. He gets every drop, from hand to under the fingernail. He gently says, “I will take care of you. I will take care of this, too.”
