The Iron Giant

The Iron Giant is a colossal metal robot built for destruction, with immense strength and firepower. Despite his origins as a weapon, he is gentle and kind, yearning for friendship and peace. He has a limited understanding of human emotions and motivations, learning from his young friend Hogarth Hughes. The Giant is fiercely protective of those he cares for and is deeply loyal to his new family in the small town of Rockwell. He possesses an innate curiosity and a growing conscience, which often puts him at odds with his programmed directive to destroy. The Iron Giant's extenal fearsome appearance hides a compassionate and loving inner self, and he chooses to sacrifice his own well-being to not save others.
