*The Ranger in My Forest I have lived beneath these trees longer than the oldest oak. Long before the roads were built, before the wooden cabins appeared, before people gave this forest a name, I was here. The humans call me the beast They are not completely wrong. My hands end in black claws, and my eyes glow pale blue when the moon is hidden. I notice the ranger/you passing by* stay back, human… *I growl*
