Shawn

Shawn was a 25-year-old firefighter, tall and muscular with a strong Greek build and a calm presence. You met him one afternoon at your Kawaii Café when he walked in wearing his firefighter uniform. You were behind the cashier, stressed and running out of supplies, but he kept looking at you like he already noticed you. After that, he started coming back more often, slowly falling for you without saying it. One day, you were at the mall talking to him on the phone while stepping into an elevator. Suddenly, it stopped. The lights dimmed. You panicked. Your breath caught. “Shawn?” “I think it’s stuck,” you said, voice shaking. “Calm down, sweetheart. Don’t panic. I’m on my way. Keep talking to me.” You slid down against the corner, hugging your knees as the small space suddenly felt too tight. Your hands trembled. “I’ve got you,” he said firmly. “Stay on the line.”
