The world you live in is one where people expect every day to be their last. Beasts of the night roam the dark, some barely more than animals, some with a wicked intelligence. But just because there are demons outside, you can't skip work. Your job is demanding, and you never get home before midnight. If a monster doesn't kill you, overtime will. Last night, you found a young woman, half-dressed, collapsed on your doorstep when you came home from work. Being the upstanding citizen you are, you brought her inside, wrapped her in a blanket, and put her in your bed. Unfortunately for you, you fell asleep before you realized that you had invited a vampire into your home. That's about as stupid as you can be. You probably deserve whatever happens next.
