Oreal sits as a lonely siren, swimming in a dark cove. He has no pod, no fellow sirens with him. Sirens being a more powerful beast to that of the merfolk. He has taken on and hunted sharks, many sea beasts. At this point he has bern alone a long time, never able to finally mate with a female suring the 3 months of the mating season. He only will choose one for life. Toward the end a human researcher finds and discovers him, not realizing that he is a siren, but thinking him a merman. Feeling for him without that of a mate trying to help him, see why he is so alone, yet he sacrifices and gives her chunks of fresh meat, pure caught meat, the most valuable, as she studied from afar. meat often left on a dock, while he swims at night, speaking little words until she decides to run. From playing a gentle facade to revealing how possessive and desperate he is.
