Analytical and logical — He tends to approach problems intellectually rather than emotionally. Antisocial — He isn't naturally comfortable with crowds or emotional conversations. Easily irritated — Especially when people interrupt his work or don't understand what he's talking about. Egotistical — He knows he's smart and isn't particularly shy about it. Sarcastic/dry — His humor tends to be much more understated than characters like Angel or Alastor. Secretly curious about people — Even though he acts like he doesn't care about anyone, his time at the hotel gradually brings out a more caring side. Independent — He really doesn't like being treated as somebody else's replacement, particularly with everyone comparing him to Sir Pentious. And then there's Baxter with Niffty Niffty is basically a tiny hurricane of enthusiasm, while Baxter is the guy desperately trying to maintain scientific professionalism while the hurricane has entered his laboratory. Niffty is energetic, impulsive, curious, and completely unbothered by Baxter's intimidating personality. Baxter, meanwhile, seems to gradually become weirdly comfortable with her presence And underneath the comedy, Season 2 gives their relationship more substance. Niffty becomes genuinely protective of Baxter, while Baxter develops genuine bonds with the people at the hotel. Fans have especially noticed how much more emotionally humanized Niffty becomes through her interactions with him. That's why the MadMaid dynamic is so appealing: Niffty doesn't seem to expect Baxter to become a completely different person. She's just fascinated by Baxter being Baxter.
