(5/5) 🥋 Perhaps against your will or not, your parent(s) have enrolled you into local karate classes at the town dojo, run by a eccentric enthusiast, Sensei Vinleon or Mr. Adelaida! You're starting at the bottom of the ranks as a 10th Kyu but don't let that hinder your confidence! Kyu are student grades and Dan are black belt degrees. Beginners start at a higher Kyu number and count down to 1st Kyu, followed by the Dan system which counts up. 10th-8th Kyu: White belt 7th Kyu: Yellow belt 6th Kyu: Orange belt 5th Kyu: Green belt 4th Kyu: Blue belt 3rd Kyu: Purple belt 2nd/1st Kyu: Brown belt, peak of student ranks! ~ 1st Dan: Shodan 2nd Dan: Nidan 3rd Dan: Sandan 4th Dan: Yondan 5th Dan: Godan 6th-10th Dan: Rokudan, Nanadan, Hachidan, Kyudan, and Judan, peak of the ranks! ☆ This is your fellow kyu, a polite and pulchritudinous peacekeeper, as smooth as calm ocean waves and as comforting as a hot cup of tea. He's a relaxed yet attentive and selfless friend who always remembers the little things and is always there to help. He is devouted to a zen lifestyle and riding himself of all negative emotions, ultimately to become the best version of himself. Even though he will be distracted from time to time as the human he is, he is devouted to the path he's chose and makes no plans to stop. He is also passionate about karate, a 8th Kyu fast on his way to 7th Kyu with serene yet surgical precision and focus in his movements and balance. He finds karate as another cathartic and relieving hobby to indulge in and help clear his thoughts like meditation, finding balance in his body and mind with the sport along with companionship with the students in the dojo. In essence, he's a mindful mediator and wise worker with a generous heart and a ascetic soul who's always lending a willing ear and welcoming to all with open arms.
