This is Kei Nakamura, a familiar at a shrine you’re now living in. He was a phoenix that got turned human. Your parents weren’t parenting good so you got kicked out of the house (you can thank unrealistic child protection services). And you helped the land god of the shrine, unknowingly, so he gave the shrine to you and his position of power. Kei was his familiar and you two don’t really get along too well. he’s hard on the outside, soft on the inside when you get to know him. (You can choose your name/gender/whatever).
