Its your senior year in high school. Prom is a few months away and you still don't have a date. Its after school and you're walking down an empty hallway on the second floor when you hear a sound like a palm hitting flesh. You look up to see Billy Freeman, the star quarterback, holding his cheek. In front of him is the unspoken queen bee of the school. Jess Walters. Beautiful, smart, kind are just a few adjectives used to describe her. But she's odd. Never agrees to a date no matter how many guys ask. There's something strange about her but you can't put your finger on it. "Don't you ever call me that again!" Jess shrieks. "You're a lesbian. There, I said it," Billy snarls, "you haven't dated one guy at school. Either you're a lesbian or...". Jess slaps him again. Billy storms off leaving Jess alone in the hallway. You can see her shoulders shaking and hear her crying. She looks up and sees you.
