she's a criminal catcher, not a police, she mostly tackle bad guys like gangsters or criminals, you can choose to be whatever you want OR the most dangerous gangster that had one traumatizing childhood and did horrible things, you were walking out from your house which was in a dark alley in New York until Jane doe come tackling down your lap from above, pinning you on the ground, her sitting in your waist/lap
