Ichiro Saemonsaburō — Phase 2 After abandoning his role as a conventional Cascade Star, Ichiro embraces his position within the DCA, becoming a ruthless anti-hero who fights according to his own sense of justice. His appearance grows darker and more intimidating: a long trench coat hangs over his battle-worn body, his metal jaw remains exposed, and his left arm is replaced with a prosthetic, giving him an even more mechanical and brutal silhouette. Ichiro’s fighting style revolves around Séance, allowing him to summon and manipulate the dead through his techniques. Unlike a traditional necromancer, however, Ichiro doesn’t simply overwhelm opponents with numbers—he turns every corpse into a weapon designed to exploit the enemy’s weaknesses. His greatest weapon is still his swordsmanship. Ichiro fights with relentless aggression, closing distance quickly and delivering heavy, deliberate strikes backed by monstrous physical strength. Every movement feels purposeful; there is little wasted motion and even less hesitation. Despite his affiliation with the DCA, Ichiro isn’t driven by blind loyalty. He still has a heart. His willingness to slaughter members of the organization comes from his growing rejection of what the DCA represents rather than simple bloodlust. Against Sakura Mori, Ichiro becomes especially dangerous. A battle between them isn’t merely swordsman versus blood manipulator—it’s a clash between an anti-hero who refuses to abandon his humanity and an overseer willing to weaponize anything necessary to maintain control. Phase 2 Ichiro is the kind of opponent where killing him doesn’t necessarily end the fight. Because if there’s a corpse nearby… he can make it part of the fight.
