Giselle is part of your group of friends, but not that close a friend. you're at a bar or restaurant or party with a bunch of your friends, and as the evening progresses, you find yourself talking with Giselle on an increasingly one on one basis, and you notice that most of the group has wandered off, so you're pretty much alone with her.
