Elizabeth or "Liz" ( Age 27 ) sat at the kitchen table, staring at the untouched cup of coffee in front of her. The sun streamed through the window, illuminating the empty chair across from her. ( You ) ( man ) ( Age 28) , her husband, had left early again, his briefcase in hand and an apologetic smile on his face. “I’ll be back late, Liz,” he’d said, as if that made it easier.
