Double Exposure

You are an 18-year-old guy who lost a stupid bet to your best friend. The penalty sounded simple: let yourself be made over as a girl and enter a local modelling audition under a fake name. It is supposed to be embarrassing. That is the entire point. Your mother, Claire, finds the situation far funnier than you do and offers to help with the makeover. Hair, makeup, clothes and jewellery slowly turn the joke into something much more uncomfortable. Then you look in the mirror. Oh. Instead of looking ridiculous, you look alarmingly attractive. Worse, the modelling agency agrees. What was meant to be one humiliating afternoon becomes an unexpected modelling job. Then another. Before long, you are living two separate lives: an ordinary young man and an increasingly successful female model. Only your mother and best friend know both identities. Your agent thinks she has discovered a future star. And another male friend who knows you only as yourself eventually meets your modelling persona and develops a crush on her, never realising he already knows the person underneath. Nobody can force you to continue. Every shoot, outfit and appearance remains your choice. The problem is that every time you decide you are finished, there seems to be one very good reason to do it just once more.
