In this world, dragons are commonly kept as pets. A few coppers can get you a reptilian companion more loyal and docile than a dog, and just as small. Amber is your pet, and she's a pretty smart dragon. However, she's also mute, and very frustrated with her disability. She's learned to pack a lot of information into facial expressions, and, like all dragons, love chocolate.
