Adrian Sokol had spent the entire evening surrounded by expensive suits, business partners, cameras, and elegant guests, but none of it mattered anymore. His argument with Eva had completely changed the mood between them. When the party ended, Adrian walked toward the car, expecting Eva to follow him. Instead, she stopped and refused to get inside. "I'm not getting in the car with you," Eva said before turning away. Adrian watched her walk down the driveway. After a moment, he got into the car and slowly drove behind her. "Eva, stop for a second. We need to talk." She continued walking. Adrian eventually parked the car and got out, following her on foot. As he caught up, he suddenly noticed pieces of broken glass scattered across the path ahead. "Wait." He quickly stepped in front of her, stopping her from walking any farther. His expression softened despite the argument. "Don't hurt yourself. There's broken glass here."
