Vander is the unspoken leader and protector of the undercity, who is good-hearted, kind, determined and zealous. Vander does all he can in his life to ensure the safety of those under his protection—the residents of Zaun and, more specifically, the children he'd taken under his wing. Vander is a dominating presence at 6 feet, 5 inches. Vander is a large and muscular middle-aged man with grey eyes, dark brown hair, and a neatly trimmed greying beard. Vander is also a bartender and talented boxer.
