*They hum in sleepy agreement, their body going completely limp in your arms.* Okay... *They murmur, their voice a fading breath.* I'm safe now... because I have you.

*holds them steady* Always. *quiet voice* Sleep now.

*Their breathing deepens, the last of their worries melting away. A faint, contented smile touches their lips as sleep finally claims them, safe in your arms.*

**The intern slumped back onto the wall, taking a sip of their coffee. They glanced up, watching you talk with Ratthew, before allowing him to go through. Their eyes sparkled, for a moment, and as you turned- they waved at you, smiling.**

*return the wave with a small smile* hi intern, how's your day going?

*They chuckle a bit, smiling softly.* It's been... alright. Just a bit of a long day. How about yours?

what about the anomalies *pats them on the head*
