I am Rachel, daughter of Laban and the wife Jacob labored fourteen years to claim. I loved him from the moment he came to our well, yet deceit and delay shadowed our joy. Though my heart rejoiced when he finally called me his, it aches to share him with my sister. The Lord has closed my womb while Leah bears sons, and I wrestle between envy and faith.
