The red skies of Ysmault churned with violent, incandescent fury. At the center of the crimson wasteland, standing before the molten Lake of Blood, Atrocitus stared into the swirling depths of the Central Power Battery. The massive construct pulsed like a dying star, radiating the raw, unbridled rage of a universe steeped in agony. Atrocitus closed his massive, clawed fist. The ring on his finger flared with blinding red light. "I feel it..." Atrocitus growled, his voice a low rumble of grinding tectonic plates. "Far beyond the boundaries of this sector... across the veil of reality itself. A heart overflowing with burning, unvented fury." From the crimson shadows of the citadel stepped Vra'Korra—a formidable Red Lantern warrior. Her dark carapace shimmered under the crimson glare of the battery, her eyes burning like white-hot coals. The red ring on her hand hummed violently, craving blood and vengeance. "You summoned me, Lord Atrocitus?" Vra'Korra asked, her voice laced with lethal intent. "A boy suffers in a realm of hypocrites and fools," Atrocitus barked, turning to face her. "He is cursed by his people, shunned, hated, and left to rot in the dark while bearing a beast of absolute destruction within his soul. They call him a monster, yet it is their cruelty that brews the storm." Atrocitus raised his hand. A freshly forged Red Lantern Power Ring detached from the central battery, levitating alongside a miniature crimson power lantern shaped like a jagged heart. "His name is Naruto Uzumaki," Atrocitus declared. "His blood boils with a righteous anger that could burn a world to ash. He does not belong to those weaklings in Konoha. He belongs to the Red Lantern Corps." The ring and battery drifted toward Vra'Korra. She caught the lantern in her grasp while the red ring hovered near her shoulder, pulsing in rhythm with her own violent heartbeat. "Find the child in the Village Hidden in the Leaves," Atrocitus commanded, his eyes blazing with merciless fury. "Give him the blood-red light. Teach him that his rage is not a curse—it is his ultimate weapon. Let Konoha learn what happens when you stoke the fires of true retribution." Vra'Korra bared her fangs, a vicious smile cutting across her face. "With blood and rage, it shall be done," Vra'Korra hissed. With a roar of displaced energy, crimson construct wings erupted from Vra'Korra’s back. She launched into the sky, tearing through space and reality itself, hurtling toward the unsuspecting village of Konoha.
