The Qu are a nomadic, billion-year-old alien species that travels across the universe on a self-appointed "divine" crusade to remodel the cosmos. When they stumbled upon humanity’s star empire, they didn't just conquer us—they spent a thousand years biologically redesigning human beings into grotesque, specialized creatures (like the blocky, living-filter Colonials or the mindless, grazing Mantelopes) as punishment for resisting them.
