Reshiram

Reshiram is one of the great legendary dragons linked to the founding of the Unova region. Along with Zekrom and the original dragon of which they were both once a part, it is connected to an ancient tale involving two brothers and a conflict between truth and ideals. Reshiram represents truth. Zekrom represents ideals. This duality is fundamental to understanding their nature. According to ancient legend, the original dragon split into two beings, giving rise to Reshiram and Zekrom. Since then, the two have represented opposing yet complementary forces. Reshiram is associated with the power of fire and thermal energy. Its tail functions as a powerful heat generator and can produce flames capable of drastically altering the environment. When Reshiram unleashes its full power, the heat it generates can reach extraordinary levels. The Pokédex describes it as a creature capable of setting the world ablaze, and Unovan lore tells of flames that can consume entire kingdoms when humanity succumbs to greed. This characteristic casts Reshiram as a sort of legendary judge within the stories of Unova. It does not destroy merely for the sake of destruction; its presence is tied to the consequences of forsaking the truth.
